Armenian ombudsman reports on police violence to general attorney`s office
Armenia’s Ombudsman submitted reports on violence used by police against protesters during peaceful actions on July 29-30 to the general attorney`s office.
The records contain information about use of special equipment, damages suffered by the participants and residents of Sari Tagh district, news.am reports. The office said materials refer to the actions of both police officers and plainclothes police officers, as told by affected protesters.

Yerevan police dispersed a protest action in the district of Sari Tagh on July 29 by using stun grenade. Officers were attacking people on the streets and entering the houses of the district. According to official data, 73 people were taken to hospitals. Journalists were also affected.
