Heritage party members arrested on charges of organizing mass riots
Leading members of Heritage party – Davit Sanasaryan and Hovsep Khurshudyan -- have been arrested following clashes between police and protesters in Yerevan.
Sanasaryan’s lawyer Robert Revazyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am they intend to appeal the arrest. Both are charged with organization of mass riots.

“These are predetermined case. The political process continues at court, people with opposing views are arrested without any reason,” said Seda Safaryan, the lawyer of Khurshudyan.

She also noted that Khurshudyan was detained on July 29, when he was providing assistance to a resident of Sari Tagh district who was affected by the actions of law enforcement officers.
