Armenia`s Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan has resigned, RIA Novosti reported Aug. 4 citing Yerevan’s Hraparak newspaper.
The reasons for resignation were not revealed. The name of Kostanyan’s successor was not publicized either.
Kostanyan was appointed prosecutor general in 2013. He is also the authorized representative of the Armenian government at the European Court of Human Rights since 2013.
