Another top police official dimissed in Yerevan

Another top police official dimissed in Yerevan

Chief of one of Yerevan`s police departments has been sacked in a second dismissal of top police officials in two days.

Police representative confirmed the reports for Armenian News-NEWS.am that Armen Vatyan, chief of Nor Nork police, has been sacked. Asked whether resignation has links to the events in Sari Tagh district where police clashed with protesters on July 29, police representative did not dismiss the assumption, but gave no further details. Vatyan was responsible for the mentioned area and was at the site during the clashes.
