Kazakh president ready to be mediator in Ukrainian crisis
Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said he is ready to be a mediator in resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
The president made the remarks in his interview with local TV channels on Dec.21.

“I believe Kazakhstan has similar approaches to Russia and Ukraine, we have no clashing interests,” Nazarbayev said. “I’m an ‘honest manager’ who doesn’t support any side. This is goodwill.”

Nazarbayev will pay a working visit to Ukraine on Dec.22 to hold negotiations with this country’s leadership, the official website of Kazakh president said.

The next session of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Collective Security Council will be held in Moscow on Dec.23 with participation of Kazakh, Belarusian, Kyrgyz, Russian, Armenian and Tajik presidents.

Moreover, the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council at the level of heads of state will be held with participation of presidents of Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, as well as Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.
