Russian Paralympic Committee to decide on Rio ban appeal by late Monday
The Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC) will decide by late Monday whether to contest the international body’s blanket ban with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) or another judicial body, RPC Vice-President and Chairman of the Executive Committee Pavel Rozhkov said.
International Paralympic Committee (IPC) President Philip Craven imposed a blanket ban on Russian Paralympic athletes on Sunday, giving the RPC until August 28 to appeal the decision.

"Before the end of the day we will decide where exactly we will file the case," Rozhkov told reporters, answering a question on whether the committee planned to file an appeal with the CAS.

He further voiced the IPC`s alleged suggestion to cut its initial appeal timeframe from 21 days to seven days, which RPC President Vladimir Lukin described as unfair.
