We ready to take steps for Turkish Stream implementation - Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey is ready to promptly take required steps for implementation of the Turkish Stream pipeline project.

"We are ready to promptly take steps towards implementation of the Turkish Stream project, discuss it and make decision. No obstacles whatsoever exist to do so," TASS cited him as saying.

"Turkey purchases the greatest portion of gas from Russia," Erdogan said.

"According to data as of the end of July 2016, natural gas imported from Russia totaled 12.5 bln cubic meters. This shows the importance of Turkey as an economic partner in this sphere," the president of Turkey said.
