Russian aviation to stay in Syria unlimited
Russian President Vladimir Putin has submitted to the State Duma a draft agreement between Russia and Syria on the indefinite deployment of the aviation group of the Russian armed forces at Hmeymim airbase (Latakia Province).
The document has been published Tuesday in the data base of the lower chamber, APA reported.

According to the explanatory note to the draft agreement, the air group is at the airport Hmeymim at the request of the Syrian side. According to the document, the airport’s infrastructure and necessary area are free of charge for the Russian military.

The composition of the Russian aviation group is to be determined by the Russian side in coordination with the Syrian side.

Note that the agreement was signed in Damascus on August 26, 2015.
