Azerbaijani athlete Mammadali Mehdiyev has advanced to quarterfinals of the men’s 90 kg judo event at the Rio Olympics.
In round of 32, Mehdiyev defeated Russia’s Kirill Denisov, and in round of 16 he defeated Brazil’s Tiago Camilo.
Mehdiyev will face South Korea’s Gwak Dong-han in quarterfinals.
