Turkey closes down telecommunications authority
Turkey’s Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus has announced the liquidation of the country’s Telecommunications Authority (TIB), AzVision.az reports citing the Turkish Media.
The Telecommunications Authority is closed and its powers have been transferred to the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA), said Kurtulmus during a briefing aired by the TV channel.

The deputy prime minister said that on the results of the Cabinet of Ministers’ meeting, it was also decided to write off the debts on social security contributions of those killed during the July 15 military coup attempt, and to transfer the debts of companies, which had links with the Fethullah Gulen movement, to the Finance Ministry.
