Russia-Armenia gas pipeline bombing attempt case includes photo with IS flag
Maia Chrelashvili, the attorney of Beka Bekauri who is charged with attempting to bomb the Russia-Armenia natural gas pipeline in Georgia, spoke about her client’s photos that are attached to his case file.
“The case has photos from social network, where Bekauri and others stand against the backdrop of different, including Islamic State [terrorist group], flags,” said Chrelashvili, according to RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.

In her words, the case materials also include information that Bekauri may have ties with Wahhabism, a religious movement or branch of Sunni Islam, albeit the accused denies this tie.

Beka Bekauri, who is in hospital at present, is the only one of the five accused, who has pleaded guilty to the charge brought against them.
