Iran to start building two reactors at Bushehr NPP on September 8
Iran will start the Russia-assisted construction of two new nuclear reactors at the site of the Bushehr nuclear power plant (NPP) in southern Iran, known as the Bushehr-2 project, on September 8, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi said.
"The construction of the project will start on September 8, according to the Iranian calendar," Sputnik cited him as saying.

The project for Bushehr-2 was presented by Russian nuclear experts in Tehran in September 2014.

In November, Iran signed a number of deals with Russia for the construction of two new nuclear reactors at the Bushehr site with an option for an additional six.
