President of Uzbekistan to be buried on September 3

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov has died at the age of 78, APA reports quoting Uzbek government and parliament.

The funeral of the head of state will be held in Samarkand on September 3. The commission on the organization of the funeral will be headed by Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Islam Karimov was born in Samarkand in 1938 and ruled Uzbekistan since 1989.
