After the April fights on the contact line, social protest flamed up in Armenia. The families of dead Armenian soldiers protested against the existing authority in late April. They demanded the resignation of President Sargsyan.

In order to calm down the soldiers` parents, the state leadership, which lost its influence instructed to allocate money from the state budget. In other words, the government offered `hush money` to the dead soldiers` families. The Armenian authority which is already on the edge of collapse, pledged to provide dead soldiers` relatives with job.

As time passes by, it becomes clear that President Sargsyan continues to deceive its nation...

Astghik Poghosyan, the wife of Armenian Contract soldier Gharib Sahakyan who died during the four-day war that broke out along the entire contact line in the beginning of April 2016, complains of financial difficulties. Government left her helpless with 3 underage children.

`They gave us some building material, as an incentive. However, there is no one to complete the construction of our house since his death. It is too difficult to live here. Living here is just heroism, in regard with modern-day standards`, she said to one of local Armenian news agency.

The Army of the Armenian Republic lost more than 300 soldiers and officers as a result of the military operations carried out in Nagorno-Karabakh on 2-5 April, 2016. Over 700 wounded were reported. The fate of 50 is still unknown.
