Rio Paralympics: Azerbaijani runner wins silver
Azerbaijani runner Elena Ciobanu has won silver in athletics at the 15th Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro.
She ran 100 meters in 11.71 seconds and came in second.

In the Summer Paralympics, which will last until Sept. 18, Azerbaijan is represented by 24 athletes in judo, athletics, powerlifting, swimming, shooting and archery.

There are six women among the Azerbaijani Paralympians.

Azerbaijani Paralympians have 41 licenses, which is more compared to London 2012 Paralympics.

Azerbaijani Paralympians have won 161 medals (64 gold, 57 silver and 40 bronze) over the last four years.
