Rally to be held in Georgia to demand release of Azerbaijani hostages
On December 30, a rally will be held outside the Armenian embassy in Georgia to demand the release of Russian citizen Dilgam Asgarov and Azerbaijani citizen Shahbaz Guliyev, who were taken hostage by Armenian in occupied Kalbajar region while trying to visit their homeland, Akif Mammadov, head of Azerbaijani Diaspora in Germany told.
F. Mammadov, who is a German citizen, said Tbilisi Mayor’s Office has already authorized an hour rally after our appeal.

“Tomorrow we will arrange a rally holding Azerbaijan’s flags and photos of the Azerbaijani hostages in our hands to demand their release and present our statement to the Armenian statement. Azerbaijani young people living in Tbilisi will also join the rally,” he added.

Dilgam Asgarov’s son Kurdoglu Asgarov told APA that they correspond with his father through the Azerbaijani Red Crescent Society.

“I received the last letter from my father a month ago. He had written, “We’re fine, and being treat well”. But we know they’re being tortured out there, and the letters sent to us had been written under pressure. The handwriting in the letter was my father’s. But he has written that letter under pressure. Their state is clear from the picture. My father has lost 70 percent weight, with 30 percent or even less left…”, he noted.

Note that, Note that, in July of this year Russian citizen Dilgam Asgarov and Azerbaijani citizen Shahbaz Guliyev were taken hostage by the Armenian soldiers on their way to Kalbajar to visit their homeland. Another Azerbaijani citizen, Hasan Hasanov, was shot to death. His body was taken from the enemy and buried in Baku. The so-called trial against Dilgam Asgarov and Shahbaz Guliyev started on October 27.
