In Dec. inflation rate hit 0.5 percent in Kazakhstan. Food rose in price by 2.1 percent, non-food remained at the same level, paid services – increased by 0.3 percent in Dec. compared to Nov.
In Dec. among the food goods, average prices for fresh vegetables increased by 11.9 percent, buckwheat - by 10.5 percent, potatoes - by 6.6 percent, eggs - by 2.9 percent, grapes - 2.7 percent, raw milk - by 2.6 percent, semolina, cheese rennet - by 1.9 percent, pork - by 1.6 percent, pears - by 1.5 percent, millet – by 1.4 percent, white bread made from first grade flour - by 1.3 percent, fish and seafood – by 1.1 percent, pearl barley, sausages, meat, cheese, sunflower oil - by 0.9 percent, dairy products – by 0.7 percent, butter - by 0.6 percent, noodles, pasteurized milk - by 0.5 percent. Meanwhile lemons reduced in price by 8.6 percent, chicken legs - by 1.8 percent, chicken – by 1.1 percent, sugar - by 0.6 percent, mutton, bananas – by 0.5 percent.
Among non-food items solid fuels, detergents and cleaning products, pharmaceutical products, goods for individual use increased in price by 1.2 percent, newspapers and periodicals – by 1.1 percent, cloths and footwear – by 1 percent, home appliances – by 0.5 percent.
Prices for AI-92 gasoline decreased by 10.2 percent, diesel fuel - by 4.7 percent in Dec.
Payments for hairdressing and personal care services increased by 1.5 percent. Fares for intercity public transport rose by 1 percent. Restaurants and hotels increased prices for their services by 0.9 percent; recreation, entertainment and culture institution - by 0.5 percent.
In the sphere of housing and communal services, tariffs for houses maintenance increased by 0.6 percent, house rent increased by 0.7 percent.
