High-ranking German and French diplomats arrived in Tehran on Jan. 6 to hold talks with senior Iranian officials.
Head of the French Foreign Ministry`s Middle East and North Africa Department Jean-François Girault and Political Director of German Foreign Ministry Clemens Von Goetze are scheduled to meet with their Iranian counterparts as well as other Islamic Republic officials on Jan. 7, the official IRNA news agency reported.

The sides will discus issues of mutual interests as well as the latest regional developments.

Germany and French are members of the P5+1 group (five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany ) which is holding talks with Iran to put an end to one-decade old disputes over the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program.
