Clinton to be active player in Caspian issues, says expert
Hillary Clinton will be an active player in foreign policy and Caspian issues if elected the US president, says Matthias Dornfeld, the chairman of the European Institute for Caucasus and Caspian Studies in Berlin.
“Clinton is more experienced in the field of foreign policy, since she has been the first lady and the secretary of state from 2009 to 2013,” Dornfeld told Trend on Oct. 12.

He, however, believes that Clinton’s main focus will be on Russia.

Dornfeld also says it is difficult to assess what foreign policy initiatives will be started by Donald Trump.

“He is not into this topic, as far as I know. If it comes to the post-Soviet space, he will basically focus on Russia as well,” he said.

The 58th US presidential election is scheduled for Nov. 8. Democratic Party’s presidential nominee is the former secretary of state and former first lady Hillary Clinton.

The Republican Party’s candidate and Clinton’s opponent is the businessman and politician Donald Trump.
