Azerbaijan ranks 5th in CIS for public debt/GDP ratio
World Economic Forum (WEF) has released next Global Competitiveness Report.
Economic situation, financial risks and debt burden of 138 countries are assessed.

The report also covers public debt/GDP ratio.

According to the ratio, Ukraine heads the ranking with 80.2% indicator. Kyrgyzstan ranked 2nd (68.8%), Armenia 3rd (46.6%), Moldova 4th (42%), Azerbaijan 5th (36.1%), Tajikistan 6th (35.9%), Kazakhstan 7th (23.3%) and Russia 8th (17.7%). No information was released about Belarus, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.

Top ten countries on this indicator are: Japan (248.1), Greece (178.4%), Lebanon (139.1%), Italy (132.6%), Portugal (128.8%), Jamaica (124.3%), Cape-Verde (119.3%), Bhutan (115.7%), Cyprus (108.7%) and Belgium (106.3%).
