Nevertheless, the Russian politicians used the tragedy in the information war against the EU, reports German Der Spiegel.
The newspaper reminds that the last terrorist attack occurred in Russia in Volgograd last year when the suicide bomber blew her up in the bus. Remembering this bitter experience, the Russians have been leaving flowers and sympathy cards with words like: "France, do not give up!" and "Charlie Hebdo" in front of the French Embassy in Moscow. The Russian President Vladimir Putin also expressed his condolences and promised cooperation in the fight against terrorism.

Russian writer Victor Yevrofyeyev commented on the attack, saying that "Islamists shot all of our core values." He reiterated how he had received and read the newspaper during the Soviet times through the French diplomats.
At the same time, not everybody shared the condolences to the French in Russia. Shooting of the journalists in Paris was used in the information war against the EU.
Journalist Sergey Shargunov, while talking with "Echo of Moscow", commented that there "should be some permissible limits" in journalism. He said that the newspaper did not have to anger the Islamists by publishing of the Islamists leaders`caricatures and the Prophet.
Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Alexey Pushkov, hinting at EU`s support for Ukraine, said: "The attack shows that Russia does not threaten Europe. The real threat comes from the terrorists."
MP from the Putin`s "United Russia" party, Robert Schlegel accused the European foreign policy in the terrorist act. In particular, he recalled the EU`s support for the rebels in Syria. According to Schlegel, during the debate in Strasbourg, he opposed the aid to the rebels in this Middle Eastern country. But, the EU officials did not listen to him.
"He who sows the wind will reap the whirlwind"– wrote Schlegel on his Facebook page.
Russian military expert and editor of the Moscow magazine "National Defence" Igor Korotshenko explained the attack in Paris by a "complete failure of the EU fight against the terrorism." In his opinion, the Islamists can attack any city in Europe, when they want.
At the same time, the hunt for the terrorists is underway in France. The media reported that the police had arrested 7 people. It was also reported that the police had released photos of the suspects in the attack on Charlie Hebdo.
Yesterday, during the attack on Charlie Hebdo newspaper, 12 people have been killed, including two policemen. Terrorists were three, they were armed with AK-47.
