Object located by Geo Survey vessel today could be flight AirAsia Flight 8501 aircraft`s nose
The Geo Survey vessel today has discovered an object believed to be an aircraft nose belonging to the ill-fated AirAsia QZ8501 in the waters of Karimata Straits, Indonesia, Detik News reported.
The object was discovered in the search and rescue operation a few hundred metres away from where the tail was discovered last Wednesday.

"We discovered the object is submerged at a depth of 30 metres on the seabed," Muhammad Aga, Chief of the Survey Team as reported to Detik.com, whose reporter was also onboard the vessel this morning.

He said, the Geo Survey vessel discovered the object around 4.30 in the morning local time. However, they have not confirmed whether it is part of the Airbus A320-200.

The Airbus A320-200, carrying 155 people from Surabaya in Indonesia to Singapore, disappeared on December 28. On board the plane were 137 adult passengers, 17 children and one infant, along with two pilots and five crew.
