Lavrov, Zarif to mull agreements reached in Baku
During the meeting between Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov Oct. 28, the sides will discuss agreements reached at the trilateral summit of the Russian, Iranian and Azerbaijani leaders in Baku, said Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mariya Zakharova.
She made the remarks at a briefing Oct. 27, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry’s website.

Zakharova said that Lavrov and Zarif will discuss regional issues, the agenda of the bilateral Russian-Iranian relations and agreements, reached earlier by the sides in Baku.

The trilateral summit of Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani and Russia’s President Vladimir Putin was held Aug. 8 in Baku. The three leaders signed a joint declaration as a result of the meeting. Main attention was paid to the North-South transportation corridor, as well as trade and economic cooperation and counterterrorism.
