Chinese railmen help expand Trans-Caspian route: ADY
Chinese railroad workers made an invaluable contribution to development and expansion of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, Javid Gurbanov, head of Azerbaijan Railways (ADY), said.
Gurbanov made the remarks at an event at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in China, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s independence, said ADY.

According to an ADY message, along with Javid Gurbanov, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Kong Xuanyou, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to China Latif Gandilov, as well as public representatives attended the event.

Gurbanov said during the event that Azerbaijan, under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, has turned into a regional leader.

“Much attention is paid to the Azerbaijan-China relations,” he added. “The relations between the railway authorities of the two countries are being expanded.”

The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route stretches through China, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and then through Turkey and Ukraine to Europe.
