Azerbaijani judo fighters to compete in Grand Slam tournament
Azerbaijani judo fighters will vie for medals at the Grand Slam tournament in Abu Dhabi, the UAE.
Azerbaijan`s hopes will be pinned on 12 fighters in six weight categories.

The first round will pit Azerbaijani Mehman Sadigov with German Philip Graf in the 60kg weight class, while another Azerbaijani Oruj Velizade will face French Vincent Manquest in the same category.

In the 66kg weight class, Ilgar Mushkiyev and Vugar Shirinli will take on Moldovan Denis Vieru and Portuguese Sergey Oleynik respectively.

In the 73kg, Rustam Orujov will join the competition from quarter final to face a winner of match between another Azerbaijani judoka Fegan Guluzade vs Pakistani Nadim Akram.

The prize money of the tournament is $154,000.
