Russia’s Arkhangelsk seeks cooperation with Azerbaijan
Russia’s Arkhangelsk region is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in tourism, agriculture, shipbuilding and others, Igor Orlov, governor of Arkhangelsk region, said.
Orlov made the remarks during the 7th Azerbaijan-Russia Interregional Forum, which is being held in Baku Nov. 1.

“Shipbuilding, meat and dairy farming is developed in Arkhangelsk region,” he added. “We think the Azerbaijani side may be interested in them.”

“We are also interested in cooperation in mineral extraction,” Orlov said.

The governor said that Arkhangelsk region may offer Azerbaijan its mechanical engineering services.

Orlov added that another promising sector is the development of tourism, including gastronomic and medical tourism.

“As for Azerbaijan, we are interested in agricultural products,” he added. “We are in need of quality products. Of course, we are also interested in medical tourism.”
