The 2016 Serbian Open Chess Championship was co-organized by Chess Federation of Serbia and Novi Sad Chess Union.
The 9-round Championship was supported by the Novi Sad Department for Sport and Youth.
The total prize fund of the tournament is 10,000 EUR.
