Armenians demand Russian serviceman`s transfer to Armenian law enforcement agencies
The city of Gyumri will host a car rally demanding the transfer of the Russian serviceman Valery Permjakov, suspected in the brutal murder of six members of a local Armenian family, Armenian News agency said Jan.14.
One of the organizers of the rally Gayane Avetisyan told the agency that using the car procession, citizens want to make authorities listen to their demands.

Car procession starts from the eighth military town of Gyumri, will pass by the Russian Consulate General in Gyumri, Shirak regional administration, and the prosecutor`s office of Shirak region.

Six members of the Avetisyan family were shot dead and a six-month-old baby was wounded in their house in Gyumri on Jan.12, the Armenian media said. The baby’s condition is assessed as serious.

Valery Permyakov, a serviceman of the city’s Russian 102nd Military Base, is the main suspect in this crime. Permyakov was apprehended near the Armenian-Turkish border, in the vicinity of Armenia’s Bayandur village. The supposed criminal has not been transferred to the Armenian authorities.
