Anti-Corruption Department: 206 criminal cases on 333 persons sent to courts last year
The hotline “161” of the Anti-Corruption Department under Prosecutor General received 4945 appeals last year, Chief of Anti-Corruption Department under Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev said at a press conference dedicated to the outcomes of 2014, AzVision.az reports.

He said the Anti-Corruption Department under Prosecutor General successfully continued its activity in 2014 as in the previous years. During this period, the Department has considered 3194 appeals of citizens and investigated 218 crime-related materials. The investigations were launched into 82 percent of these crime-related materials, and preventive measures were sustained on other appeals.

In 2014, the Anti-Corruption Department completed the investigation of 206 criminal cases on 333 persons and sent to the courts.

During the investigation period, AZN 54 885 691 or 72 percent of the damage in the amount of AZN 76 165 41 caused by the criminal cases were paid and the rest of the damage will be paid by arresting the property of the accused persons.
