Azerbaijan considers buying shares of Georgia’s GOGC
Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR is ready to consider obtaining shares of the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation (GOGC), if the share for sale is officially announced, a source in SOCAR told on Nov. 28.
The newly appointed Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said earlier at a meeting of the parliament that the Georgian parliament is ready to sell 25 percent per each the assets of the state-owned companies – Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation and Georgian Railways.

GOGC is the operator of the North-South gas pipeline, via which Russian gas is delivered to Georgia and Armenia.
