Putin, Erdogan discuss Turkey’s anti-Assad remark – Kremlin aide
Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday in which Turkey’s leader explained his remarks on Syria, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said on Thursday.
Erdogan had said earlier that the Turkish military operation in Syria is being conducted to put an end to the rule of Syrian President Bashar Assad.

Ushakov told reporters that “the topic was addressed” and Erdogan had provided an explanation to Putin when the two presidents spoke, but he did not say whether Putin found it satisfactory, Sputnik reported.
