Azerbaijan’s Central Bank to put up notes for auction
An auction for placement of short-term notes worth 75 million manats (1.7339 AZN/USD on Dec. 3) of Azerbaijan’s Central Bank will be held at the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) Dec. 7, the BSE said.
Some 750,000 notes at a par value of 100 manats each and maturity period of 29 days will be put up for auction. The maturity date of the notes is January 5, 2017.

Short-term notes are a tool of monetary policy to regulate the money supply in circulation. Only banks can obtain notes.
