Armenia`s political prisoners problem to be discussed in Paris
The event titled `Today`s Armenia: Focusing on the political prisoners` will cover the discussion of the following topics, AzVision.az reports:
- Why are there political prisoners in Armenia?
- What are they charged with? What do they jeopardize?
- Who are they?
- Are courts independent?
- What does government want to get?
- How do their families live?
- How to support them?
Myriam Gaume, the independent journalist will talk about her meeting with family members of Sassoun Rebels in the conference.
Furthermore, Garik Khatchatryan, a fellow-soldier of Jirayr Sefilian and Pavlik Manukyan who fought in Karabakh, a member of ` Parlement Fondateur` and a head of the Belgium office of `Renaissance Arménienne` will deliver a speech in the event.
Moreover, Armenian artists of Diaspo`arts will exhibit their works on the state of political prisoners in Armenia. Areg Nazarian, a singer-songwriter will sing songs related to that topic.
The photos and biographies (in French and Armenian) of the political prisoners will be demonstrated in the event venue.
Note, the event will take place on 18 December, Sunday.
