Azerbaijani customs committee exceeds budget income forecast
Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee transferred almost 2.06 billion manats (1.7430 AZN/USD on Dec. 13) to the country’s state budget in January-November 2016, which is by 48.2 percent more than in the same period of 2015, according to the committee’s report.
In total, the forecast on customs revenues of the Azerbaijani state budget was planned at the level of 1.81 billion manats for 2016, and the committee’s transfers exceeded the forecast by 250 million manats.

In January-November 2016, revenues from customs duties amounted to 546.64 million manats, from value added tax – about 1.37 billion manats, from excise duty – 86.56 million manats, from highway-user tax – 56.55 million manats.

The volume of revenues totaled 219.62 million manats in November 2016. Revenues from customs duties reached 53.34 million manats in November 2016, from value added tax – 158.55 million manats, from excise duty – 5.04 million manats, from highway-user tax – 2.69 million manats.

The State Customs Committee’s revenues from customs duties increased by 86.8 percent during the period, as compared to November 2015, from value added tax – by 62.5 percent, from excise duty – by 0.06 percent, from highway-user tax – by 89.9 percent.
