Kazakh mobile operator reportedly provides illegal mobile communication with Nagorno-Karabakh
Foreign Ministry spokesman: "The Azerbaijani embassy in Kazakhstan has already been instructed in order to investigate the matter and take necessary measures"
It was revealed that one more CIS country makes illegal mobile calls to the occupied territory of Azerbaijan, Karabakh Telecom, which operates in occupied Nagorno-Karabakh region, was shown as the mobile operator of Armenia on the website of mobile subsidiary Altel of Kazakhstan`s Kazakhtelecom company. The data was posted in the list of countries, to which calls are made, in the roaming services section. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hikmet Hajiyev told that the Azerbaijani embassy in Kazakhstan has already been instructed in order to investigate the matter and take necessary measures.

“Such “roaming contracts” of Karabakh Telecom Company which operates in the occupied territories and violates Azerbaijan’s telecommunication space have already been terminated in many countries thanks to the efforts of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry and diplomatic missions,” he noted.

According to Hajiyev, this type of illegal contacts and illegal economic activity with the illegal regime created in occupied Azerbaijani territories are on the agenda of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry and diplomatic missions.
