Delay in settlement of Karabakh conflict weakens Armenia - Ter- Petrosyan
`Delay in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict further weakens Armenia,` the first president and the leader of the Armenian National Congress, Levon Ter-Petrosyan said on Wednesday, AzVision.az reports citing the Armenian Media.

In his view, the Armenian authorities had held talks on`Madrid-Kazan-Lavrov` option since 2007 and much more intensively since 2015, which was not different from the phase-by-phase option in 1997.

`The Armenian authorities are negotiating on this plan with the co-chair countries, especially, Russia,` he added.

`According to the plan, the Armenian side must return five regions out of the seven occupied regions at the first stage and the peacekeeping forces must be settled at the second stage. The third phase will proclaim the interim status of the Nagorno Karabakh. The blockade of Armenia will terminate to restore the communication with Azerbaijan and probably, Turkey`, he noted.

Ter-Petrosyan`s party is in favor of the implementation of this plan, as delay of solutions further weaken Armenia and the so-called Nagorno Karabakh regime, and the following decision will be even worse than that.
