EU assessment mission to visit Georgia
EU assessment mission will visit Georgia on January 26-30.
Assessment of the second phase of implementation of the liberalization process of the visa regime will be carried out within the framework of the visit.

The European Union welcomes the successful completion of the first phase of the liberalization plan of the visa regime with the EU by Georgia and expresses hope that Georgia will successfully implement the second phase of the plan as well.

Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili assured the European Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and citizenship Dimitris Avramopoulos that his government remains committed to the course of European and Euro-Atlantic integration and is ready for the effective implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU.
