The forum is attended by representatives of the state structures, diplomats and experts of the two countries.
President Ilham Aliyev addressed the forum participants noting that the United States has always been next to Azerbaijan and took an active part in promotion of regional projects, meeting the interests of the country.
The head of state stressed the close cooperation of the two countries in international sphere, citing the active support of Azerbaijan to the peacekeeping missions, particularly in Afghanistan. The head of state also spoke about the successful development of the country, as well as Azerbaijan`s achievements over the past years.
President Ilham Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan is interested in the further deepening of partnership with the United States including in energy sector.
This was followed by a documentary about Azerbaijan. The forum continued by a plenary session on Azerbaijani-American relations: common vision of the future. The session was moderated by the special envoy of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan, former ambassador of the country to the United States, Yashar Aliyev.
