The majority of deaths was registered during April 1-5. It was reported that 77 deaths were registered during the April battles. According to the data, deaths occurred due to violation of ceasefire (34), unfortunate accidents (19), suicides (13) and health issues (2).
Although the Armenian Media tried to specify, the ministry said that this issue was confidential and state secret.
Note, the number of registered deaths in the Armenian Army is more than the released statistics. Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reports, the Armenian side suffered many deaths in April while the Azerbaijani Army was preventing armed provocation of Armenia. During the 4 days` battle, the Armenian side lost large number of its forces and military technics. More than 500 Armenian soldiers were injured, 30 enemy tanks and other armored vehicles, as well as more than 25 artillery pieces were destroyed. Besides, Azerbaijani Armed Forces killed more than 320 Armenian servicemen during the April clashes on the contact line of Azerbaijani and Armenian troops.
