Putin and Security Council discuss worsening in south-eastern Ukraine
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Security Council members have discussed the worsening situation in the south-east of Ukraine, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday.
"There has been an in-depth exchange of opinions of the continuing worsening of the situation in the south-east of Ukraine," he said. "Also, there was a discussion of various topical aspects of Russia’s internal socio-economic agenda."

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, speakers of both houses of parliament, Valentina Matviyenko and Sergey Naryshkin, Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev and his deputy Rashid Nurgaliyev, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, federal security service FSB chief Alexander Bortnikov, foreign intelligence SVR director Mikhail Fradkov, and Security Council’s permanent member Boris Gryzlov were taking part in the meeting.
