Parliament speaker accuses int
Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov has accused international organizations of negligence toward the genocides committed against Azerbaijanis.
In his speech during today’s meeting of the parliament, MP Fazil Mustafa mentioned that the 100th anniversary of the so-called Armenian genocide is to be held this year, adding that Azerbaijan needs to take serious measures in this respect.

The MP also touched upon French President François Hollande’s solidarity with Armenians, noting that foreign diplomats and deputies who are very sensitive about the so-called Armenian genocide should be invited to Baku on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the Khojaly genocide: “Instead of some genocide they’ve been looking for in history, we’d like to show them genocide crimes the civilized world has seen”.

Speaker Ogtay Asadov noted that Azerbaijan is doing a lot in this area and always will.

“No one lent us a hand. But I don’t think those persons will change their opinions if we invite them to Baku and make everything clear for them. Because international organizations are negligent toward the genocide acts Azerbaijanis have suffered. This is something I’m already sure about. There is no point in expecting something from them. We have to solve our problem ourselves,” he concluded.
