`Most likely it is another failed PR campaign, organized by the separatist regime`
The photo exhibition in the Czech Republic is another failed PR campaign of the separatist regime of Nagorno-Karabakh, the Azerbaijani Ambassador to the Czech Republic Farid Shafiyev told on Feb. 5.
He was commenting on the Armenian media reports about a photo exhibition on Nagorno-Karabakh held in the Czech town of Frydek-Mistek.

“It is not clear from the exhibition’s photos, spread by the Armenian media, where it is held, whether in a private home or in a public place, there are no visitors, no audience,” the diplomat said.

“Most likely it is another failed PR campaign, organized by the separatist regime of Nagorno-Karabakh, aimed at presenting false information to the Czech public,” he added.

Earlier, the Armenian media reported about an exhibition in the Czech town of Frydek-Mistek in the Moravian-Silesian region, dedicated to Nagorno-Karabakh.

Earlier, Shafiyev said the embassy is clarifying the issue with the authorities of the city.

Azerbaijan’s Embassy in the Czech Republic later found out that the exhibition was organized in January in a private bookstore. None of the city’s officials or its citizens was involved in holding the exhibition.

The ambassador said this act is nothing else another failed PR campaign of Armenians.

The photos’ author, the Czech photographer Ladislav Vetvicka, was earlier listed as undesirable person by Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry for his illegal visit to the Azerbaijani territories occupied by Armenia, the diplomat added.

The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan.

As a result of the ensuing war, in 1992 Armenian armed forces occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding districts.

The two countries signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994. The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Russia, France and the US are currently holding peace negotiations.

Armenia has not yet implemented four UN Security Council resolutions on the liberation of the Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding regions.
