Nearly 650 international and over 28,000 local observers to watch elections in Armenia
About 650 international observers will conduct observation mission during the upcoming parliamentary elections to be held in Armenia Sunday, Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Armenia, Tigran Mukuchyan, told reporters, Azvision.az reports citing Armenian Media.
In his words, over 28.000 local observers and 49 organizations will also watch the election process, which will be covered by over 100 foreign magazines.

Saturday is an election silence day.

5 parties are taking part in the parliamentary elections: the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Armenian Revival Party, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, Free Democrats Party and Communist Party of Armenia, as well as Tsarukyan, Yelk (Way Out), Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian (ORO) and Congress-PPA [i.e. People’s Party of Armenia] blocs.
