Over 800 reports on violations during elections examined - Armenia Ombudsman
As of 4:30 pm (UTC/GMT+4), the hot line of the Armenian Human Rights Defender’s Office has received 40 reports regarding violations during parliamentary elections held in the country Sunday, AzVision.az reports citing the Armenian media.
The complaints mainly concerned overcrowding at polling stations, disturbance in the operation of technical equipment and absence of conditions for the voting of people with disabilities.

The Human Rights Defender’s staff has overall examined over 800 reports on violations received from the media outlets and social networks. Reports on preventing the work of journalists have also been received.

In connection with the aforementioned reports, 79 cases have been launched in provinces.

As of 4:30 pm, no reports on violations during the voting in penitentiary institutions have been received.

The Human Rights Defender’s Office constantly keeps in touch with the representatives of the EU delegation and OSCE/ODIHR observers.
