Azerbaijan to tighten penalties for violation of license regulations and conditions in broadcasting
Azerbaijan is going to tighten penalties for violation of television and radio broadcasting legislation and the regulations and conditions of special permit (license) in broadcasting.
The parliamentary Committee on Culture discussed on Friday the amendments made to articles #187-1 and #187-2 of the Code of Administrative Offences.

Informing about the draft law, committee chairman Nizami Jafarov said that according to the amendments made to articles #187-1 (violation of television and radio broadcasting legislation) and #187-2 (violation of regulations and conditions of special permit (license) in broadcasting) of the Code of Administrative Offences, these violations will entail imposition of penalty on official persons in the amount of AZN 1500-2500, legal persons - AZN 5000-8000. Current penalties are in the amount of AZN 300-500 for official persons and AZN 1000-2000 for legal persons.

The draft law was recommended to the parliament’s plenary session.
