TAP to allow Croatia to turn into regional energy hub - minister
“Croatia does not directly participate in realization of TANAP and TAP, but we are interested in joining this project via the Ionian Adriatic Pipeline (IAP)”, Croatian Environment & Energy Minister Slaven Dobrovich said in his interview to Caspian Energy magazine.
According to him, Croatia is interested in diversification of natural gas sources: “As you know that there is a domination of one supplier in South-East European countries. Therefore, we several times faced problems and start construction of floating compressed natural gas terminal in Krk Island in Adriatic Sea. This project meets demands of the entire region. We are waiting for notification about inclusion of IAP project in the list of priority projects. TAP and IAP should connect in Fiery city of Albania near Adriatic Sea. About 60% of TANAP and 30% of TAP have been completed”.

The minister stressed that TAP will allow Croatia to turn into regional energy hub
