Breakthrough possible at February 11 talks on Ukraine - European Commission
The European Commission (EC) hopes that a decisive breakthrough will be made at the talks on the situation in Ukraine on February 11 in Minsk, European Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn said on Monday.
The talks will be held in the Normandy format, bringing together Russian President Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

"A decisive breakthrough is possible on Wednesday. All parties understand that it is time to find a way out of the crisis," Hahn said. He stressed that "the humanitarian situation in Donbas is critical."

Hahn also noted that he held telephone consultations with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin on Monday.
