Azerbaijan soon to start assembling Russian KAMAZ

The assembly of the first KAMAZ vehicle in Azerbaijan will take place in late February or early March 2015, the Ganja Automobile Plant told on Feb. 9.

A full assembly and adjustment of KAMAZ vehicles will be carried out in the country.

KAMAZ produces a wide range of vehicles, such as trucks (over 40 models, more than 1,500 kits, and vehicles with right steering wheel), trailers, buses, tractors, engines, power units and various tools.

The Ganja Automobile Plant began its work in December 2004. In the early days of its operation, the plant had 85 employees, but now it employs 700 people.

The plant is capable of assembling in Azerbaijan up to 1,000 trucks and 2,000 tractors a year. The Ganja Automobile Plant is currently assembling the ‘Belarus’ tractors and MAZ vehicles.

Aside from tractors and vehicles, the Ganja Automobile Plant launched the production of various equipments for ‘Belarus’ tractors.
