Civic activist severely beaten in Armenia
Artak Khachatryan, civic activist, was severely beaten by unknown people in Armenia, ArmInfo agency reported.
On Feb. 7, a group of unknown people kidnapped the activist who participated in the protests of citizens demanding to terminate the provisions of the law on "Value Added Tax".

According to them, the document flow becomes a mandatory requirement.

Three masked men attacked the activist, member of the Prosperous Armenia Party Artak Khachatryan. While beating him, they forced him to sit in a black car and drove away in an unknown direction, MP from Prosperous Armenia Party Vahan Babayan said.

His brother Artyom Khachatryan said that in the evening of Feb. 7 he was found beaten and unconscious at the door of his apartment.

Khachatryan was taken to a hospital on Feb. 7.
