Azerbaijani boxers aim for the gold at Islamic games
Sport facilities of the upcoming IV Islamic Games were presented in Baku today. Among them - Baku Crystal Hall, which will host boxing and volleyball events.
All facilities for competitions, trainings, accommodation of judges, athletes and journalists are ready.

160 boxers from 30 countries will compete at Baku Crystal Hall for the title of champion of the IV Islamic Games.

According to Farhad Adzhalov, who manages boxing competitions at the Islamic Games, the level of competition will be very high.

"These competitions will be pretty hard, considering the level of the best teams, like Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Of couse, we also hope that our guys won't let us down and will win more gold medals than everyone," he stressed.

"We always want more and aim to win as many medals as possible. Both national team and our leadership are doing everything for this," he noted.

Member of the Azerbaijani boxing team, bronze medalist of the Olympic Games in Rio, Kamran Shahsuvarly, also said that Azerbaijani boxers are planning to show the best results.

"The team is in good shape, we're well prepared, besides, the competitions are held in our homeland. I think that everything will be fine and we will show great results," he said.
